I noticed a weird problem with 3 of my desktop computers, all Win 10 Pro and Domain Joined. They are for whatever reason trying to connect to 192.168.1.1 and grab Public_UPNP_gatedesc.xml at port 80 about every 30 mins. The thing is that it is not my network and I'm not sure why only 3 out of the 7 would be doing this. I've used TCPView to see that it is scvhost.exe and BITs is what is doing it. Weirdly I'm getting a response from 192.168.1.1 but again that is not on my network. The computer is behind a hardware firewall network is 192.168.0.x and the modem also has a router built in which I

    Connecting my wireless printer

You will need both your network name (SSID) and network password.

One way to get this is to log on to your router and look at the "wireless network" section.

You log on to your router by entering its IP address into the address bar of your Internet browser (on any computer already connected to the router). You'll be asked for a username and password. The default username, IP address, and password for most brands
    of router are listed here:
    http://192-168-1-1ip.mobi/default-router-passwords-list/

If you need help, please provide the make and specific model of your router. Look for the manufacturer's label on the back or bottom of the device.

  3. 192.168.1.1 Won't Connect On Windows 10 Computer Or Edge Browser. Why ?

Well, I think I had this Kind of Problem With My Windows Machine Too However I did Not have mac computer at that time So I was Stuck to Fix the Issue With In Windows.

Truthfully this Not Windows Or Mac Problem Its Just a technical Glitch that can be remedy By Steps Given Below -

    • Make sure You are connected to Router Using Ethernet Or Wireless Connection While trying to access the router Using

      192.168.1.1
      default ip.
    • Also, Look at the back of Bottom Of Your Router for Default Login credentials & Make Sure 192.168.1.1 is the default ip for Your Router.
    • Reset the Browser or Remove cache memory of the Browser to Try & check With New Settings.
    • Try a Different Internet Browser if your current One Won't Work.
    Hope this Helps

Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Thanks for the suggestions and for the time to respond It appears Win Update is Connecting to 192.168.1.1 and asking for Public_UPNP_gatedesc.xml :) Best regards.

And thanks for the tip of that program, I'll have it on my list.
