    Hello Sarah,

    I'd like to verify if you're computer is still stuck on Preparing Automatic Repair state. If not, I'd suggest to perform the steps below:

    1. Force shutdown your laptop, check first if your computer will boot normally. If not, after your computer restarts several times. you'll see the Windows 10 Boot Options menu.

    2. Select Troubleshoot > Advanced options.

    3. Choose Command Prompt, copy and paste the commands below and press Enter the after each line:

    • bootrec.exe /rebuildbcd
    • bootrec.exe /fixmbr
    • bootrec.exe /fixboot

    Windows 10 update stuck on preparing for installation

    I downloaded windows 10 but now it is stuck on preparing to install i restarted the computer and the windows downloaded again but now it is stuck on the same place. on preparing for installation for the past hour.

    Windows 10 upgrade is still at 70% after 20 hours

    Windows 8.1 prompted yesterday to upgrade to Windows 10. Kicked off the upgrade process and 20 hours later it's still stuck at 70%. It's making progress, but incredibly slowly. Has anyone run into this?
