    it is 2025 and Microsoft has not yet fixed the issue of a payment card being default set to US location and cant be changed, it's so annoying!, no and the solution they recommend for changing location in control panel does not apply for windows 11, first of all why???? second of all how do I make it stop, it is really on my nerves, I am supposed to be editing my clients' videos and here I am ranting to a multi billion corporation, because they cant let me have an app on my pc in peace, they want my $0.99 but I cant even pay that in peace without mental frustration.

    Hi Ryan,

    One of the factor why you're having issues purchasing an app in Windows Store is due to payment method settings. See this article:

    Troubleshoot problems with payment options     and follow the suggest troubleshooting steps.

    Thank you for your update.

    We suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps:

    • Press Windows key + X.
    • Go to control panel.
    • Go to Default Programs.
    • Click on Microsoft Picture Viewer and set it to default.
    • Check if the issue is resolved.

    Issues with using Microsoft gift cards on Microsoft Store in Windows 10.

    Hi,



    Thank you for your response with the current status of the issue.

    I suggest you to try to click on Shop for apps, games and more in the Store
    as displayed in the first screenshot. Then check if you are able to shop using the gift card.

    Also I recommend you add a payment method by referring to the below steps and check if it helps.

    1. Open Windows Store.

    2. Then click on Your Account.

    3. Click on Payment Options.

    4. Under Payment options, click on Add a payment option.

    5. Check if you are able to see the Gift Card in the list.
