Windows 10: It is taking too long to update any file properties details for Video files in Widows...

I'm trying to update the file property details eg: Artist details/Tags/Production for my video files mostly .mp4/.mkv formats and files size average between 2GB to 8GB, On applying the change the system is taking too long to apply the change. I noticed like the file is being copied to some directory and then it is updating the details. Please let me know it is only happening to me or its the actual behavior itself. Is there any solution or alternatives to speed up this process in anyway?

We understand your concern, as you are looking for an option to edit the Metadata of the mp3 files. In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, please reply with the answers to the questions below.

• What is the Windows 10 version and Build installed? (Type
  winver in Windows search/Run command)
  
• Were you able to make the changes in metadata with other details?
  

Please provide a screenshot, when you are trying to edit the metadata.
Please follow the steps mentioned in the
screenshot posted by Shawn ‘Cmdr’ Keene on Oct 2, 2015 to post the screenshots.) Do not share any personal information in the screenshots.



Meanwhile, we would suggest you to perform these steps and check.

1. Press Windows + E to open File Explorer.
   
2. Browse the location of the songs you want to edit.
   
3. Right-click a song, and select
   Properties. Click the Details tab.
   
4. Everything you see in the "Details" tab is part of the metadata information, and you can quickly edit most of it by clicking the value field next to the property. Some of the information that you can update
   includes song title (not the file name), album name, artist, genre, publisher, mood, and much more.
   
5. After updating the metadata information, click the
   Apply button.
   
6. Click the Ok button.

However, you can also check in Microsoft Store, Apps for MP3 metadata editors and use the one that is suitable for you.

Windows 10 April 2018 Update(SCU) Partially Breaks MKV File Support?

I updated to main computer to the April 2018 Update, AKA Spring Creators Update, and it seems like they've taken a step backward with MKV file support. When I go into the properties of an MKV file on the Fall Creators Update, if I go to the details tab it gives me a bunch of detail about he media file, like resolution, framerate, audio information and bitrate. However, if I go into the same file's properties on the April 2018 Update, almost all of the information is blank, it only gives me a runtime and bitrate.

I really just want to confirm that this isn't just my computer and other's are experiencing the same thing.

  Right-click on the file.
