Windows 10: It says Windows is fully active, but I can't sign in?

I recently upgraded almost all of my hardware, except the hard drive. I went through the process of reactivating windows on the current device. The activation page now says "Windows is activated with a digital license linked to your Microsoft account."From what I have read in all of these pages, that means the device is PROPERLY ACTIVATED and should have no issues. But when I try to sign in to my computer after booting it up, it says "... could not log you in to your account" and tells me to log out and back in to fix it. BUT THAT DOESN'T WORK! It just keeps saying it can't log me in and inste

Hi,

About your concern with typing the password after being idle, it is actually recommended to activate for security reasons.

If you wish to disable it, I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

• Go to Settings.
• Click on Accounts.
• Click on Sign in options.
• On the right side, you will see required sign in.
• Change it to Never.
