Windows 10: Item checkboxes cannot be disabled on windows 11

I recently upgraded to windows 11 on my laptop, and I can't disable item check boxes in the file explorer.Disabling item check boxes works on the desktop, but not in the file explorer see attached screenshot.I have tried disabling "Use check boxes to select items" in folder settings, and changing the value of HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\AutoCheckSelect to 0 in the registry, both of which do not solve the problem.Any help would be much appreciated :

Adobe Flash message in IE 11

Hi Sandra,

To help you out with your concern, we suggest that you disable the add-ons in Internet Explorer 11. For step by step instructions, go to this

link, then look for the title Turning off and removing add-ons.

We also suggest that you reset Internet Explorer 11 through these steps:

• Go to Internet Explorer then click the Gear icon.
• Choose Internet options > Advanced.
• Click Reset.

(Note: If you have added Favorites, back up them first before resetting the browser. )

Items getting selected when hovering mouse over it

I understand how frustrating it could be when the computer doesn’t work as it is supposed to.



I would suggest you to check the settings mentioned below and see if that helps in making a difference:



Disable Hover feature:



You may want to disable the Hovering over feature for Mouse and check. Refer the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Windows key + R, to open
   Run dialog box.
   
2. Type control and click on
   OK.
   
3. Select Large icons from the drop down for
   View by.
   
4. Click on Ease of Access Center and click on
   Make the mouse easier to use.
   
5. Clear the checkbox for Activate a window by hovering over it with the mouse
   under Make it easier to manage windows.
   
6. Click on OK.
   

Disable ClickLock



Sometimes if ClickLock is enabled any item gets highlighted through the Mouse. We can try disabling it and see if that helps. Refer the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Widows + R, to open
   Run dialog box.
   
2. Type main.cpl and click on
   OK.
   
3. Clear the checkbox for Turn on ClickLock.
   
4. Click on OK.
   

Disable Single-click to open item



We can also check if the Single-click to open an item is enabled. Refer the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Widows + R, to open
   Run dialog box.
   
2. Type control folders and click on
   OK.
   
3. Make sure the option, Double-click to open an item is selected.
   
4. Click on OK.

Windows 10 internet Explorer Crashes / Freezes after most recent update

Hi,

To assist you, kindly provide us additional information.

• What update did you install?
• What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

We suggest you to disable Internet Explorer from optional features and enable it again. To do so, follow the steps below:

• Press Windows + R on your keyboard, type optionalfeatures
  and hit OK.
• Uncheck the checkbox with Internet Explorer 11 written against the box and restart your computer.
• After restart, check the box in optionalfeatures and restart again. Then, launch IE.
