    Items missing in my Troubleshooter menu.


    First off, I am having a problem with my mouse self-operating. I already made a page about that here:

    Mouse cursor jumps around the screen.

    Searching for all possible causes of the cursor malfunction has led me to this page here:

    Where the author describes going to your Windows 10 Troubleshooting menu through the Control Panel to have your computer run a troubleshooting program. Problem is, the menu item that I must open, according to this help page, isn't there. Here's a print screen as a visual example so you know what I am talking about:

    Upon seeing the missing item "Hardware and Devices" missing and the next item as well I immediately thought that this has something to do with the mouse cursor misbehavior. If my problem is a computer hack then who knows, they might've deleted some things while they were in there installing it.

    missing icons in start menu

    It is possible that the icon of your apps in Start menu is missing due to a corrupted system files. To provide you the accurate resolution, kindly answer the following questions:

    • Have you made any recent changes prior to this issue?
    • Does this happen only with icons in Start menu?
    • What troubleshooting steps you've done so far?

    Meanwhile, we suggest that you perform the steps in this

    If the issue still persists, we recommend that you follow the suggestion shared by

    No Fan Control menu item in ATITool 0.26

    .27b3 problems with 8800GT 256MB

    I tried the .27b3 and encountered some problems.
    • Default profile comes up 0.00 / 0.00
    • App hard locks
    • Still no fan menu
    In the setup menu the following items appear:
    • Overclocking
    • Artifact scanning
    • Temperature monitoring
    • Gamma control
    • Startup
    • 3D-detection
    • Driver tweeks
    • Miscellaneous
    I'm running XP SP2 running NVIDIA 169.21 drivers.

    The device details are displayed correctly now.

    The tutorials provided are just a list of troubleshooting steps. Use only the steps which apply to you.

    Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.
