Windows 10: Items some missing from Windows 10 start menu.

Suddenly the "Settings" and "File Explorer" options are missing from the start menu of my Windows 10x64 Pro installation. Any idea how to get them back? I tried going back to a restore point when I knew they were there they still didn't come back.

As per the information, I recommend that you perform Repair Inplace Upgrade
which will fix all the issues persisting in your PC, refreshing your OS while leaving your personal documents intact

so basically I have discovered that both the control panel and run (possibility of other programs) are missing from said start menu, but are still accessible with in the win 10 setting and run within win+r. this isn't a big deal as of itself but still...
since discovering this I have reset the pc... still no luck, run the sfcscannow thing, no luck. I thought reseting the pc would have brought thing back to "normal" but so far nothing. Even my google search's have unveiled nothing no one appears to have the
same problem as me so yeh I'm all out of ideas..

Thank You for the information however when I went and checked the settings for the 2 options that are missing they are both already turned on! I tried turning them off and then back on and they still do not show up? Any idea what I should try next?

 

Do you have an older restore point to go back to?

If not, or it doesn't help, then you could do a repair install without losing anything.
