    Its 2018 and we still have the blue screen of death


    Just lost a bunch of work due to windows crash. Are we ever going to have a stable operating system or is this something we will just have to live with?
    I use Linux a lot but I am forced to use Windows for lots of stuff, and I honestly thought it would be more reliable by now.
    What's the Outlook? (No pun intended)
    Edit: thanks to everyone for some very educational comments. It looks like the ole BSOD is practically unavoidable for a wide reaching OS like windows.
