Not sure where to put this, but I know many people have used/are using ITT tech as their learning institution for computer sciences so you may be interested to know ITT Tech is shutting down nation wide (U.S.)....

charging problems

i own a nokia x7 for about a year.2 months ago when listining some music it stoped and i couldnt charge itt anymore.i leaved like that for 2-3 days thinking itt was broken but when i put itt again to charge itt started.2 days ago itt hapened again but this
time when itt was charging itt stoped and i cant start itt.when i put charger nothing happens.i tryed reset nothing.i tryed hard reset still nothing.i tried conect itt to pc same thing.i tried different charger but still nothing.pls help me

I noticed that today and to be honest I have no love for profit schools like that one. Saddling students with huge loans and the use of misleading advertising makes me sick. Now they need to move onto other "schools" like this one.

 

Wow! My colleague and business partner did a custom series of textbooks for them on information security starting about 4 years ago, finished two years ago. If that content is any indicator of quality and coverage, the problem was not with their instructional material. Very interesting!

I actually went to this stupid school and graduated back in 2003. Still owe money on my loans, but since my reputation is now being "threatened", I'm attempting to find out if they will forgive my remaining debt *Smile

 

I'm sorry to say but I wouldn't count on it. You're likely stuck with that loan just like any other education loan.

 

You may have to take advantage of one of those advertisements on the radio, and probably TV and in Print, about forgiving a portion of student loans, especially if the load was government-sponsored. I got one of those phone calls about it just last week, just hung up as I've never had a student load, didn't even go to college [Navy instead].

 

The common problem is over promising regarding jobs after completing training.

 

If allowed to say here. What was the problem with ITT? What did they do? I thought these type of schools were supposedly different then regular colleges because you didn't have to take a courses like English or stuff you already know. Plus, you can get your degree earlier.

@groze I hate places like that pray on their students and basically deliver nothing. It's not about the curriculum about the accreditation process that a school undergoes. In ITT's case it was no were near the lever of a college or university. And the worse part is even if you earn a degree the credits are not likely transferable to any college/university. So, if you want to advance your education you will have to take all of those classes over again.

For me it's far better to deal with the extra courses than getting ripped off by a school like this one.

 

The only difference in "for profit" schools and "non-profit" schools is that the non-profits hide all of their profits in salaries and expenses...*Wink I don't know why this is not more widely appreciated. In the case of ITT, however, it seems they've been in a failing mode for quite some time and have been shutting down classes for months. Higher ed @ $40k-$60k per year these days is quite the rip off--nothing like what it was when I went to school. Smaller colleges like ITT are an attempt to make it much more affordable--but that's a difficult trick. Most state schools and ivy leagues saddle students with huge debts--much bigger than ITT, in fact. The fed government is by far the biggest college-debt holder in the country. College has become a racket, and some of the ivy leagues are turning out idiots these days...

 

I had an ex-girlfriend that went there. I remember how awful their recruiting tactics were. I had to block the number because of all the phone calls. I think this is a wake up call for education as a whole, they will need to do the same with a lot more schools. Tuition keeps going up but there is nothing extra to show for it. Schools should have have to justify their costs better than they do now. People should not just go on the name alone anymore.
