Windows 10: iTunes Download Error 8003

Albums will not download to PC - get error code 8003.

Community groups suggest it is usually a problem with the firewall settings.

I've checked the firewall and iTunes is not listed as having access through the firewall so downloads are probably being blocked by the firewall.

Community groups simply suggest adding iTunes but the browser can't find iTunes anywhere on the PC so will not allow it to be added. It would appear that this is because of where Microsoft install the app which isn't where the firewall expects.

It would appear iTunes has been installed in a hidden folder C:\Users\info\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WindowsApps\AppleInc.iTunes_nzyj5cx40ttqa rather than the normal Program Files folder. I have tried to manually enter this address to the firewall browser but it rejects it as "not having access to that file".

I have tried to move the file to a folder the Firewall will recognise but Microsoft doesn't allow this action.

Can you please advise as to how I can get the firewall to allow iTunes to work.

Itunes wont download

or 64-bit. Once verified, then download the appropriate iTunes version.

To verify the system type, follow the steps below:

• Right-click the Windows key, then select Control Panel.
• Click System and Security.
• Under System, look for System type.

Do let us know the complete error notification along with error code?

I suggest you to uninstall the iTunes software, download the latest version and try to install in compatibility mode on Windows 10.

Follow the steps to install in Compatibility mode:

• Download the updated software from the manufacturer’s website.

• Right click the software installation file and select
  Properties then tap or click the Compatibility tab.
• Place a check in the Run this program in compatibility mode for: box.
  
• Tap the drop down box and select a previous operating system, then tap or click
  OK.
• Try installing the iTunes software and check.

Did you previously install iTunes on your PC? If so, we suggest that you uninstall it first before downloading a newer version of iTunes.
