Windows 10: iTunes taking up 77.4GB of space even after I have removed all downloads, I am trying to...

I am trying to free up disc space and had 120/250GB used by music, so I removed all downloads in iTunes so I still have my library available for streaming. However, this only freed up 50GB of storage and the systems storage analysis still shows 70GB worth of storage used by music. I am wary of deleting any folders in file explorer containing music in case I start to change my library.Any help appreciated.

iTunes won't connect to my iTunes Media directory

1. Uninstall iTunes completely. (I suggest using Geek Uninstaller. In my experience this does a good job of clearing remnants.)
2. Download and install latest iTunes from Apple, not Windows Store (Never use the Windows Store for iTunes.)
3. Check whether the Apple version allows you to point to your old media store.

How to safely remove iTunes?

I'm perplexed. If iTunes does not appear under Revo's 'Uninstaller' list, only under its 'Windows Apps' list then it means Revo has identified a Windows Store version of iTunes.

I have a local installation of iTunes and Revo correctly identifies iTunes and all its support components under 'Uninstaller':




Did you perhaps try to overwrite a Windows Store version with the dedicated installer version downloaded from Apple... or vice versa?

PS - Are you sure that you don't need the zero-configuration networking "ancillary crap like Bonjour" for perhaps a printer?
