    I've been getting a lot of DCOM errors.


    I've been getting a lot of "DCOM got error "1084" attempting to start the service..." and coincidentally, once I have started getting these errors my windows has been freezing off the login due to my NVIDEA drivers having some sort of issue. Wondering how I can maybe fix this as I believe it is causing an error with my drivers as well.

    DCOM Errors

    I have a lot of those and some are related to Windows Enterprise settings on a Home or Pro install that are missing the required software.

    DCOM Error 1005

    Hi, Getting lots of errors :- DCOM got error "1115" attempting to start the service BITS with arguments "Unavailable" in order to run the server:
    {4991D34B-80A1-4291-83B6-3328366B9097}. Can't find out what is causing this. Checked in regedit but it only points to DCOM. Running Win 10 PRO 1909 build 18363.628. Googled it but no help there.

    Anyone come across this ? The machine is a stand alone and not tied to any LAN.

    The odds are that you're probably correct. I'm willing to bet that his error; like all the other millions of users that get DCOM errors, is being generated because random segments of code left behind dead entries in the registry.


    I have a list of dead entries that I have deleted from the registry that have left no ill effects and that is why I was asking for his Guid alphanumeric code. You would be surprised how many dead entries I have deleted from the registry and still have a flawlessly functioning computer.
