Windows 10: I’ve done a clean install, however system reserved is on one drive and not on my actual...

How would I go about moving the partition from a 120gb SSD to my system drive which is a 512gb ssd. I wiped all drives before installing, so Windows has obviously got confused somewhere along the road. This has never happened to me and I only noticed as I removed the 120gb SSD from the pc and it refused to boot, plugged it back and and booted fine.

No System Reserved Partition After Free Upgrade and Clean Install of Windows 10 Pro x64

Thanks. Actually bought system partitions existed and neither had a System Reserve Partition when I upgraded each to Windows 10. Also I booted to a ISO DVD to complete the clean install and formatted the system partition in both cases.

The only difference between the two upgrades is that last fall when I upgraded the first system partition, a two step process (upgrade then clean install) was required. When I upgraded the second system partition last week, I was able to complete the upgrade
and clean install in a single step.

Clean install of Windows 10. Do I also format or merge the system reserved partition?

It's time for a clean install of my Windows 10 pro. I intend to format the SSD drive that is used for the OS and then install Win 10 again (I use a seperate HDD for storage) When choosing a location I see that there are three partitions on the SSD (Drive 1):





Partitions number 1 and 3 are most likely system reserved partitions. I know this for sure about Drive 1 Partition 1. I have two questions about this situation.

1. Can I also format and/or merge system reserved partitions if I intend to do a clean install?
   
2. Is it possible for Drive 1, partition 3 to be a system reserved partition from an earlier installation of Windows? Can I also format and merge this?

I think you mean "could not update", not "could".

Suggestions:

• Disconnect any other hard drives.
• Run chkdsk /f on the System Reserved partition. You'll have to do this from the CMD prompt in Repair Mode.
• Initially there were reports of some System Reserved partitions being too small for the upgrade. Search for details if the first two suggestions fail.
