Windows 10: Ive forgotten my pin and i am unable to reset it

Hello, i have been attempting to sign into my laptop but i have forgotten my pin. I have attempted to enter it many times and this has resulted in a message appearing.It tell me to wait 2 hours to attempt again, my laptop shuts off after 30 seconds so that isnt an option realistically. When i attempt to change the pin it tells me that i need to download an app, i am unable to download anything as kncsnt get into the laptop. Is there any way i can change the password on my microsoft account on my phone?

Forgotten PIN and expired password

Thanks for your answer.

I tried steps of both links:

• #1: reset PIN code
  
  • I see no link "reset your PIN"on login page --> I can't reset it
    
• #2: change or reset windows password
  
  • My Windows account is not displayed at all on login page.
    
  • I am using a local account
    

If you have any other suggestion, I would be more than happy to try.

Unable to reset my PIN

Hi

Ive forgotten my PIN, and when i have gone to reset it, on the settings page, it says 'Sorry - this PIN isnt working on your organisations devices. Tap or click here to fix it'

When I then click on it, it gets me to sign in, however it is making me put my PIN in to sign in, i cant login any other way, Ive tried the authenticator app and it still needs a PIN.

When I press forgotten my PIN, it tells me to go to settings and reset my PIN.

I am currently stuck in a loop, because I cant change my PIN, and the only way i can change it requires my PIN.
