I have the ASUS laptop/notebook tp412fa in the settings I can see that it has touch screen capabilities but it doesn't let me use the touch screen. I've tried pretty much everything on the internet I disabled and enabled the compliant touch screen I've uninstalled it and reinstalled it I went to control panel to change the touch input settings the one I haven't tried is to reset the touch calibrate because it doesn't give me the option in table PC settings and I don't know what to do anymore.

Touch screen on Dell laptop

My touch screen feature stopped working a few days ago. The driver HID-compliant touch screen, does not appear on my device list. I cannot find it on the Dell or Windows10 driver download lists. Does it exist?

You may also Enable and reinstall the touch screen driver in Device Manager

Your touch screen might not respond because it is not enabled or needs to be reinstalled. Use Device Manager to enable and reinstall the touch screen driver.

In Windows, search for and open Device Manager.

Expand the Human Interface Devices list.

Right-click the HID-compliant touch screen device, and then click Enable, if possible. If the Enable option is not available, continue to the next step.

Tap the screen to see if it responds. If it does not, continue with these steps.

Right-click the HID-compliant touch screen device, and then click Uninstall.

Restart the computer to reinstall the touch screen driver.

Tap the screen to see if it responds. If it does not, configure the touch display.

Another thing you can try is to Configure the touch display to identify your screen as a touch screen.

In Windows, search for and open Calibrate the screen for pen and touch input.

On the Display tab, click Setup.

Click Touch input.

Follow the on-screen directions to identify your screen as a touch screen.

Tap the screen to see if it responds. If it does not, continue to the next step.

If the steps above didn't work, proceed with Adjusting the power management settings for your touch screen

NOTE: Changing this setting might result in increasing power consumption during sleep mode.

In Windows, search for and open Device Manager.

Expand the Human Interface Devices list.

Right-click the HID-compliant touch screen device, and then click Properties.

On the Power Managment tab, remove the selection from the Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power check box, and then click OK.

Touch screen not working

We suggest to update the touch screen driver and check for resolution.

Follow the steps provided:

• Press Windows key and X on your desktop and click on Device Manager.
• Expand Human Interface Devices.
• Locate the Touch screen driver.
• Right-click on the driver icon and click on Update Driver Software.
• Click on Search automatically for the updated driver software.
• Follow the onscreen instructions to update the touch screen driver.
