Windows 10: I've had Windows product key activated out of nowhere its not there and it says Windows...

I've had Windows product key activated out of nowhere its not there and it says Windows cant activate this device becuse i dont have digital licence and valid product key. When I press Troubleshoot next to it says Troubleshooting completed but right under it says it says i cant activate my copy of Windows, and I should make sure I'm connected to my internet, but I am connected 100%. Please help

You can use a Windows key as many time as you want provided it's only on one computer at a time. If the automated activation fails, just call the number it provides. Six minutes later, you're activated again. If it asks you how many computers it's on, just say "one" and you're golden.

 

Windows 8.1 pro + WMC key activation

This worked for me last time with a Win 8 key.

Install Windows 8.1 and enter KMS key during setup. Once in windows change product key to my Windows 8 key. Go to add features and enter my WMC add-on key. Drink a beer to a job well done.

 

Windows 10 product keys and activation - and the KMS angle

Changing the product key to the generic Windows 10 product key will reset activation to the standard retail channel for activation. It might just activate (if there was a previous digital license for Windows 10 for that computer established with Microsoft). Once Windows 10 is back on the retail activation channel, then more than likely changing the product key to the Windows 8 product key using the same method may work.
