Windows 10: I've lost my Favourites Bar, Outlook.com - and other issues.

What a disastrous day this has been - after problems setting up my new laptop, I've just lost my Favourites Bar. Just vanished.


When I looked for my outlook.com there were two screen messages including "office365 configuring outlook accounts".





The view is totally different, with Focused Inbox for example and I'm begining to think it's Outlook, not outlook.com.

Outlook is currently setting up a local copy of my mailbox which apparently will take a while. And reminders from my Calendar are shooting through, with many pings to tell me it's happening.


And I've lost access to the Community and to my Profile.

I'll have to wait until I get a notification then I can post this. That presumably will give me access to outlook.com so how should I remove Outlook?


But how can I get my Favourites Bar back please? And what might have been the cause?


It's 2am and I now need my beauty sleep. Perhaps it will all return in the morning.


PS And when I went to input a subject, it's brought up seven previous subjects of mine. Is this a new feature?

Lost Favourites Bar

Hi, I have just downloaded windows 10 and realised that I no longer have my favourites bar with so much in it. Can I retrieve it or is it lost for good. Thanks

 

Windows 10 My Favourites list is gone!

I have loaded up Windows 10 and my favourites list is gone. This is pretty frustrating as I had a big list of favourites built up over a couple of years for work and my own personal browsing. I tried the adive offered by Krishna to Maggie in the forum which
was:

"I suggest you to try the steps below and check if it helps to restore the favourites.

• Click This PC
• Type %userprofile% into the Address bar
• Press Enter on your keyboard
• Right click the Favorites folder
• Click Properties
• Click Previous Versions
• Wait for the list of previous versions to load
• Select a version that was before you lost the files/folders
• Click Restore."

When I got to step 6 my previous versions list showed only today. Surely the loading of Windows 10 has not wiped out my Favourites? What can I do from here?

How to remove Favourites Bar from Favourites in Edge

My list of favourites always has an entry for “favourites bar” at the top of the list.

Can I get rid of it?

I know how to turn the thing on and off, so it displays or otherwise.
That’s easy. What I wish to do is get it out of list of favourites.
