Windows 10: I've set up a Windows PIN, however Windows does not recognise that i have done so

Hi All,I've set up a PIN and I use it to log into my laptop everyday. Frustratingly I want to set up facial recognition, however Windows does not recognise that my PIN exists. If I go through either method of adding a PIN either by trying to set up a facial recognition or by adding a PIN I go through the motions, add the pin, the screen closes and the blue wheel appears. If i move the mouse slightly the wheel disappears, but Windows continues to say "you can use this PIN to sign into windows apps and services - Add PIN" even although a PIN is registered with Windows and I use it to Log in.No

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

To set up a PIN on your Windows account, we suggest that you follow the steps below:

• Type the word pin in the search box and select
  Set up PIN sign-in.

  Add button.

  Enter the password for your user account, then click the
  OK button.

  Follow the instructions on the screen.
