Windows 10: Jabra Elite 85h Auido Cuts Out Connecting to Teams Calls

In the past couple months, a Teams update caused Teams Call audio has stopped working with my Jabra Elite 85h headset. It was working before.When I join a Teams call, I get a short snippet of audio, but when the headset noise cancelling function kicks in, the audio cuts out. When I leave the call, I get another snippet of audio.

1. Check the audio settings in Teams:

. In Teams, go to Settings > Devices, and make sure your Jabra headset is selected for both the speaker and microphone.

. You can also check the audio output settings on your computer to ensure the correct audio device is selected.

2. Update the firmware on your Jabra headset:

. Check for any firmware updates available for your Jabra headset, and install them if there are any. This may help to improve the compatibility with Teams.

3. Disable other audio devices:

. If you have other audio devices connected to your computer, try disabling them to see if this resolves the issue.

. Sometimes having multiple audio devices enabled can cause conflicts.

4. Check your computer's Bluetooth settings:

. Make sure your Jabra headset is set as the default audio device for both the speaker and microphone in your computer's Bluetooth settings.

5. Disable Intel Smart Sound Technology

As you mentioned, you can use your headset for both "Speaker" and "Microphone" if you disable Intel Smart Sound Technology.

. This is a possible solution because Intel Smart Sound Technology can sometimes interfere with the audio output of other devices.

. To disable Intel Smart Sound Technology, follow these steps:

. Open the Control Panel.

. Click on Hardware and Sound.

. Click on Sound.

. Click on the Audio tab.

. Under "Playback", select your headset and click on Properties.

. Click on the Enhancements tab.

. Uncheck the box next to "Intel Smart Sound Technology".

. Click on Apply and then OK.

4. Reset your headset

.This will restore your headset to its factory settings and may fix the issue you're having.

. To reset your headset, follow these steps:

. Turn off your headset.

. Hold down the Call button and the Volume Down button for 10 seconds.

. Your headset will turn on and the LED will flash blue and red.

. Release the buttons.

. Your headset will be reset.

Jabra Elite 85h issues with Teams

Thanks Amr,

Through opening the sound settings, I disabled all external monitors and was able to resolve the problem for Teams calls. However, when next connecting to a different set of external monitors, the problem returned. Again through using the sound control panel for playback visualization I was able to resolve the problem. Today however, I had a new problem develop. I can use my headset to complete Teams calls (verified through test calls), but when connected no other sounds or music come through the headphones. In playback I can see that sound is being played, but could hear nothing.
