Windows 10: Jabra Evolve2 65 - Can't get Audio through USB cable

My Jabra Evolve2 65 works great in bluetooth mode. I've had no problems with it. However, I wanted to test how it would work with its USB cable and I got no sound. I found an article that suggested I add it as a default device in the sound settings. I right clicked on the speaker icon, selected Open Sound Settings, and in the option "Choose your output device" there was no Jabra option. I then went to the list of Playback devices and my Jarba device was listed BUT when I right clicked on it, the option for "Set as Default Device" was greyed out. Jabra Evolve 65 headset speakers only work when connected via USB cable

I have a Jabra Evolve 65 headset with Bluetooth dongle:





One year or so it worked perfectly, then I stopped using it for a long while. Today I tried them again and they had the following problem.

When the headset is connected via USB cable, it appears as 2- Jabra EVOLVE 65 and everything works fine. Clicking the volume buttons on the headset makes the Windows volume bar pop up correctly.

When the headset is connected via Bluetooth, it appears in the audio devices list (Sound settings) as 2- Jabra LINK 360; microphone works fine but headset speakers don't receive any sound from the PC.
The audio messages from Jabra ("PC connected", etc) can be heard, though.
Also, the volume buttons on the headset don't work.

I have updated both headset and dongle via Jabra Direct to the latest firmware, with no avail.

OS is Windows 10.

 

Jabra Evolve2 40 Headset Microphone suddenly stopped working after Windows Update

We are experiencing the same issue with Jabra Evolve2 40 headsets and HP Elitebook 840 G9.

 

Bluetooth problem after Creators Update with Jabra Envolve 65

Hi!

Just now I resolve my problem with using Jabra.

Jabra has 3 devices:

1. Jabra EVOLVE 65 Hands-Free

2. Jabra EVOLVE 65 Stereo

3. Jabra EVOLVE 65 Microphone

If I use first and third devices - It hangs.

So I use only Stereo device and for now it works.

Instead Jabra microphone I use HP microphone.

And still wait for new updates.
