Windows 10: Japanese Microsoft IME - change to QWERTZ

Hi Community,I would like to make use of the IME Keyboard for Japanese language settings, wich is working really great by the way!Now I'm used to a swiss keyboard, while IME seems to make use of US keyboard settings.My main problem with that is that the Y and Z keys are interchanged, which can be quite frustrating.Is there a way to change this setting?I searchedbut was not able to find a proper solution under Windows 11.[moved from de-de]

Japanese IME QWERTZ

I use the German keyboard layout with English Being the main language. Recently I have tried to use the Japanese IME but the layout it in the English version which is QWERTY and I want to change that to QWERTZ.

is this Possible to do or am I gonna have to get reacquainted with QWERTY

 

Japanese IME with German QWERTZ-Layout

I am using Windows 10.

Being german, my keyboard has the german QWERTZ layout.

I want to write in Japanese, so I am using Microsoft-IME.

I can set the Hardware Keyboard to english or japanese layout, but there is no other layout available.

I don't see the reason why microsoft excluded every other existing layout.

I tried using third-party IME, but those use the same configuration as Microsoft-IME.

How can I set the hardware keyboard layout to standard german QWERTZ (or any other layout)?

I can set the layout for other languages freely, why not for japanese?

I did add the input language japanese(日本語), as well as german(Deutsch (Deutschland)), english and french.

In the options screen for japanese, I only have the option to:

• download handwriting
• further settings for speech recognition
• change layout of hardware keyboard (only japanese and english keyboard available)
• remove/add new keyboard (Microsoft-IME or third party IME)
• configure Microsoft-IME

Thus I assume the language package has already been intalled.

In Region & language in the language list, there is also written that the language pack is installed for japanese.

I am looking forward to your help.
