Windows 10: Java assistance of upmost importance

I don't know where to look for help, but this was my first idea.For the entire time I've had windows 10 installed on my machine, I could never run .jar files without a .bat file to run the code. Today, I was sent a pack of mods for minecraft, and when I tried to load the game, it didn't work! After a lot of failed attempted solutions I decided to reinstall Java. Not only did this not work at all for loading broken mods, it also broke how Java worked entirely!I still can't load .jar files with the javaw.exe file, but now not even the .bat file works! Double clicking the .jar file does nothing.

Internet explorer & java

1) What exactly you are trying to do with java/ do you receive any error message related to java, while trying to open Microsoft Edge?

2) Do you receive any error message when trying to open Internet Explorer?



I would suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: Clear caches and cookies of Internet Explorer.

Follow the steps below:

• 
  Press Shift + ctrl + Delete key on your keyboard.
  
• 
  Mark check on cache and cookies and click on Delete button.
  

Step 2: Run Printer troubleshooter.

• 
  Type troubleshooting in the search area on the taskbar and select
  Troubleshooting.
  
• 
  Select Troubleshooting.
  
• 
  Select View all on the top left corner.
  
• 
  Click Printer.
  
• 
  Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.
