Java 8, IE 11.11, Windows 10 - Java won't verify. Java control panel won't open.

Have you downloaded the latest Java version? Let's try to eliminate software conflicts by performing a clean boot. We suggest that you try accessing Java Control Panel in a clean boot environment and see if it makes any difference. If you are able to access

We also suggest that you start your PC in safe mode with networking, then try to verify Java in Internet Explorer. To start your PC is safe mode with networking, follow these steps:

• Click on the Start button, then select Settings .
  
• Select Update & security > Recovery .
  
• Under Advanced startup, select Restart now.
  
• After your PC restarts to the Choose an option screen, select
  Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings >
  Restart.
• After your PC restarts, you'll see a list of options. Select 5 or F5 for
  Safe Mode with Networking.

Accessing the Java log?

Browsers don't use Java, they use Javascript, a totally different language. I have not had Java installed for over 3 years and have not found any need for it yet.

I suggest you uninstall it. If it's ever needed you'll be prompted for it.

 

Java SE Binary comsumes 100 percent of my cpu

As per the screenshot and the description provided by you in the post, seems that Java Platform SE Binary is making high CPU usage.
In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, please reply with the answers to the questions below:

• What is the Version and Build of Windows 10 currently installed? (Type
  winver in Windows search/Run command)
• Are you aware of any changes on the PC prior to this issue?

In this scenario we would suggest you to perform these steps and check.



Step 1: Clear Java cache.

Step 2: Clean boot

Try booting your PC in clean boot. Refer to the article on How to perform
a clean boot in Windows



Note: Clean Boot starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs, so that you can determine whether a background program is interfering with your game or program. Also, you may not be able to use some
programs in clean boot.



If performing a clean boot fixes the issue then, please refer to the section
How to determine what is causing the problem after you do a clean boot
to check which program is causing the issue.



Note: Please refer the section Reset the computer to start normally after clean boot troubleshooting
to boot the computer in to normal mode after troubleshooting.



Step 3 Reinstall Java.
