Windows 10: JavaScript error when trying to open Cricut once first downloaded

Receiving a Javascript error every time i try to open cricut design space. Ive tried trouble shooting with their customer care with no success!! Can someone please help me?

 

Cricut is not Opening on Windows 11

I have been trying to get Cricut Design Space to open on my newly updated Windows 11. I have been on the phone for hours with Cricut support, and added the app to the firewall, installed and reinstalled. It downloads but will not open. I need this to work for my very small business and everyday I can not use I am loosing money. Please help. Any suggestions?

Hello, I'm Greg, here to help you with this.

Have you tried uninstalling Cricut Design space, restarting Windows, then reinstalling from a fresh download?

Locate your projects first and back them up to a file on your desktop so you know where they are.

In between uninstall and reinstall delete any Cricut folder in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files (86) and also in C:\Users\Your User Name all App Data folders.

In File Explorer > View tab choose Show Hidden Folders, also if necessary to delete any folder use this handy right click shortcut which installs a Take Ownership shortcut to your right click menu to use in cases like this on files and folders which won't cooperate: https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/3841-add-ta...

The only warning is to not use it on C:\Windows folder files as this will compromise security.
