  3. Enabling JavaScript in Windows

    Hi Monica,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

Many Internet Web sites contain JavaScript, a scripting programming language that runs on the web browser to make specific features on the web page functional. If JavaScript has been disabled within your browser, the content or the functionality of
the web page can be limited or unavailable. In order to guide you in right direction, we would need some more information.

    1. Do you face this issue with all the browsers or particular browser?
    2. Is the issue specific to particular website?

Meanwhile, we would suggest you to refer
How to enable JavaScript in Windows
and try enabling JavaScript in Windows and check.

    Regards.

Javascript not working at Gmail after updates

    Dear all,

I have updated last week my Windows 10 (big mistake, as you will see). I let my laptop go on with the updates and, the next day, when I tried to log into my Gmail account, surprise !, i could not do it.

I mean, the Javascript on the page was not working. I have a two-steps log, and the second step requires allowing logging in from my smartphone. That did not work.

Ok, nothing much, but after I finally logged in (using the code sent to my phone), nothing on the functions of Gmail was working. I needed to guess where are the ”forward”, ”reply”, ”edit subject”, ”delete” and all the other.

How the heck could that happen? And how can I solve it?

I already checked in Google Chrome, javascript is allowed. Already purged my browsing history. What else can I do?

    Thanks,

    Mihai
