Windows 10: JBL Headphones not recognised as audio via bluetooth

I had this problem. And the original threat was closed so I couldn't post the solution I found. Here is the solution:Strangely you have to activate airplane mode fist and then freshly connect the jbl tune with Bluetooth. Then there will be an option so connect it as an audio device.Apparently active WLAN interferes with the connectionI hope this works for you. Good Luck!

Bluetooth not recognising headphones

Bluetooth on my PC recognises, pairs with and works with an ear piece headphone/mic.
Bluetooth on my Smartphone recognises, pairs with and works with an Ausdom headphone.
Therefore all hardware works.

However, PC Bluetooth will not recognise, let alone pair with, Ausdom headphone.

I have tried re-boots, turning Bluetooth on/off, uninstalling, re-loading drivers, etc. I have run out of ideas.

Any suggestions please?

Hi!

I'm trying to connect my JBL Headphones 300tws to my ASUS laptop with windows 10. It does see them, but doesnt recognise them as headphones, but as a smartphone as you can see in the screenshot. So I can't use them with my laptop.





I also have a JBL speaker, this connects with windows fine and is automatically recognised as a speaker.

The headphones work great with my phone so it seems to be a windows problem. I've checked the bluetooth drivers for updates and tried to forget all devices and try again, but nothing has worked so far.

Hi Yara,

I got the same trouble. I found the solution in the JBL site Bluetooth Pairing Guide. Remember to delete the jbl 300tws entry from the bluetooth devices list before you begin the procedure.

You must put the Jbl 300TWS back in its case and then follow the instructions from the JBL page.
