Windows 10: JBL Quantum 100 headset connection problems

Greetings,I have recently bought a second monitor for my PC, which has a single port for headset connection. The monitor works fine, however, my old headset that had two separate jacks for mic and sound stopped working for some reason, even though my PC has 2 separate ports as well when I connected the sound jack from the old headphones into the monitor, it worked. Since i find having a mic fairly important, i bought a new pair of headphones, the aforementioned JBLs. They only have a single jack, however when i connect them into the monitor i can only hear sound and the microphone isn´t dete
