Discus and support JBOD connection to Windows 10 in Windows 10 Network and Sharing to solve the problem; I have an iSTAR JBOD J355 fitted with 5 Nos. 6TB drives and have used a eSATA Port Multiplier 1:5 Device Adapter ZAGE-D-5SAES-PM board for connectivity...     JBOD connection to Windows 10


    I have an iSTAR JBOD J355 fitted with 5 Nos. 6TB drives and have used a eSATA Port Multiplier 1:5 Device Adapter ZAGE-D-5SAES-PM board for connectivity to my Dell Optiplex 7060 PC. I have installed a StarTech 2 Port PCI Express SATA 6 GBps controller card PEXESAT3221 on the PC and have connected both the units using a eSATA cable.


    The PCI Express card is installed properly and I was under the impression that the JBOD would be recognized as a large external USB drive. Could somebody please help me in configuring the JBOD to work with the PC?

    Windows 10 Tweaks

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
