No, there were no issues on the desktop. I downloaded with Internet Explorer. I think the issue was Google Chrome. For some reason, it didn't want to download the software right. I have made an ISO image, and I am about to put it on my Laptop until the full version of 10 comes out. I will empty my messages now. I have been a little busy today. Had to go to town.

Did you use the software I suggested ?

What program did you use to burn the iso to dvd.

Did you run it at x4 speed ?

I don`t think it was Chrome that gave you issues on the laptop, I think it`s because you used a wireless connection, if you were plugged in I doubt if the iso would have been corrupted.

I use Chrome for everything *Smile

You can`t just copy it Jesse, you have to use burning software.

Burning it makes it bootable, otherwise it`s just a data dvd.

Chuck that dvd in the trash, it`s useless.

You can use windows to burn the disc, but I suggest just using this.

    Any questions just ask.

  5. It seems to be working though. It's installing Windows on Laptop's VMware player.

I guess because you are not booting from it, you are just using the files.

But if you wanted to install it on your pc and do what we call a clean install, you would boot directly from the dvd or a flsh drive when you first turn on the pc.

That`s different from what you`re doing now *Smile

You can read up on it here, while you`re sitting around the fireplace *Tongue

  7. I will probably need to do a clean install on my Laptop whenever the full version of Windows 10 comes out, because it is an older system than my desktop with Windows 8.1. So, I will need assistance on that whenever the time need be.

  9. Yes, it has Windows 7 on it. Why can't I do a clean install?

  11. You are right about that. I will explain to you why I am wanting to do a clean install as soon as it finishes setting up on the VMware Player. But, if you say its not a good idea then I won't do it. But, I will have to find out another way to get Windows 10 on there.

You pull the Windows 7 hard drive out, you buy a new hard drive or solid state drive. You install that and you install 10 on that. That`s how you do it.

You do that when you can afford it. Or you upgrade to Windows 10 when it comes out through windows update, but I don`t even recommend that.

Just get another hard drive for the desktop and put windows 10 there, don`t risk the laptop.

Or upgrade 8 on the desktop.

Oh! Well, I thought doing a clean install meant removing the Windows 7 software, and then use a Windows 7 ISO to install back on the system.
