  1. Joystick calibration of an analog axis exits prematurely due to a button press 75 percent...

    Hi there,

I can't calibrate my Virpil MongoosT-50 CM2 sticks brake lever analog axis on top of a Brunner base CLS-E.

This stick has the pitch and yaw axis like normal and there are no issues with that. although I dont like calibrating it through windows. it functions fine without calibrating.

However it has a third axis. an analog brake lever. so no twist Z axis or something but it is seen as Z axis in windows calibration.

It starts at zero percent and when pressed it reaches 100 percent of range. but there is a hardware function in this lever. it will send button 27 at 75 percent of the full range hence ending the calibration since you need to do the full range and then press a button.

with this calibration i can never fully utilize said Brake lever.

funny enough maybe a year ago one of the windows updates acted different in calibrating my stick and there wasnt a message to press a button to end calibration but simply clicking on finish. this would be much better in this case. or maybe it was a function hidden in windows on which i accidently stumbled.

I hope you have some advice for me.

    Kind regards,

    :)

  2. Joystick z axis rotation

I have a generic USB joystick and Windows joystick calibration is seeing all the axes and buttons just fine.

However, it is treating the Z rotation (stick twist) axis a permanently pulled over to one side, and i cannot calibrate it to the centre. This means that every game that detects the axis has constant spinning with the stick plugged in. sure, I can unplug
it for games where I'm not using it, but this happens in games where i want to use it as well, making them unplayable.

Is there any way to force the configuration to either centre the axis or disable/ignore it entirely?

    Joystick calibration option gets hidden

We are having an issue with the joystick calibration in Windows 10.

The joystick device initially can be calibrated and functions normally. After an overcurrent event on the USB hub and reboot of the system, the joystick device is correctly recognized by Windows, but it does not function at all. We noticed that calibration
option in the game controllers setting is also hidden.

The weirdest fact is, however, that holding Shift+Ctrl while clicking on joystick device (in Game controllers settings) opens the dialog with the calibration tool and after the calibration, the joystick starts functioning normally.

Although, the Shift+Ctrl solves the problem, we are still intrigued on why the Calibration option is only available using this trick? What has changed that this is needed? Does anybody have a clue?

    Controller Calibration Wizard is BROKEN

    Hello--

I need some help. I don't get along with computers and am just a step or two above tech-illiterate so please allow for my idiocy. Apologies in advance if I come off as a bit peeved; I've been mucking about with my controller and computer for almost three hours now.

My hard/software: Windows 10, Project64 emulator, retrobit 64 tribute controller (single joystick, essentially the old N64 controller).

Not the problem: My controller is showing up under devices like it should. It interacts with the emulator just fine, except for calibration being absolutely necessary. I can access and run the calibration wizard.

The Problem: When I run the calibration wizard, it never goes through the steps where I calibrate the X and Y axes. It jumps straight to the Z axis, which I don't have and it does not register whatsoever. I just need to calibrate my single joystick, but the calibration wizard on my computer does not provide the proper steps to do so.

With my luck I won't be surprised if this is a never-before-encountered, one-in-a-million chance, unfixable problem. But please, please tell me that it's a simple fix and that I am just an idiot. Thanks in advance, folks.

    Here's Hoping,
    Belle
