Windows 10: JS/Tadruss.A Virus

Just wanted to share my experience with subject virus.

It is a JavaScript that redirects your browser to another site, not the one you actually intended to visit. In the wild, this trojan was observed to redirect users to sites that distribute other malware. Windows Defender blocked and quarantined the virus.

However, it completely corrupted the Chrome browser which I removed. Chrome was stuck on one website. Chrome, like all browsers, is not bullet proof.

Follow steps exactly as stated, and you should be rid of it.

 

Cannot delete, copy, open or upload a file in %TEMP%

The virus defender says it got was Rogue: JS/TechBrolo.A

After I did a full scan and booted into safe mode, the file was gone
