Windows 10: July security update and mt.exe issue

Hi,I'm a developer in a big company and I use Visual Studio + CMake to build C++ projects.After updating my computer with Windows 10 July Security Update, I have a big regression on Visual Studio when linking C++ binary and applying manifest.Error: general error c101008d: Failed to write the updated manifest to the resource of file “xxx.dll”. The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process. mt.exeThe new update seems to have updated the Endpoint Detection and Response and now any binary is scanned and locked when link.exe create the shared library. Windows 10 update July 2017

Hello Meg,

it will tell you it was they last update on the computer. It should be the first recover option on the list, I only had one option to select.

Although my backup date was July 17, 2017.

Yours may be similar?

Well just noticed a pretty large one pop up coming in at 914MB, seems it makes some pretty serous updates.

If the issue still persists I suggest you to check if you have new software available for your phone do the following:

Lumia with Windows 10:

• Go to Settings > Update & security >
  Phone update and tap Check for updates.
