Windows 10: June 2020 and Windows 10 Mail App still not showing PDF attachments

I was told to pay more and get an Apple computer but no, I had to go with Windows 10. I will avoid Microsoft software at all costs, but hopefully at least the operating system will work. Since Windows 10 Mail is so buggy STILL doesn't show PDF attachment in my imported Gmail account which I can see in Gmail using a browser - and yes I tried setting the Message List to not group conversations without any luck I have to go with Thunderbird free opensource email program great program by the way. Google Contacts App syncs very nicely with my Android phone and I can export contacts and import them into Thunderbird. I'm sticking with Google Chrome and will avoid any Microsoft 365 products. Apparently Microsoft just doesn't take pride in their software - it's all about the money. And some people think Bill Gates really cares about people lol.

Windows 10 Mail App, Gmail and Pdf Attachments

Emails sent with Pdf attachments do not appear with the pdf attachment in the Windows 10 mail app. the email shows but the attachment is missing. This happens for every email picked up from gmail with the default gmail account type and also manual configuration
of a gmail account. Is this a known issue? Is there anywhere to see a list of bugs for the Mail app?

There could be a number of factors as to why you are experiencing Mail app issue. This could be caused by a software conflict or due to incorrect account configuration. Are you using Gmail account on your Mail app? Are you getting any error messages when sending/receiving
mails that come with .pdf attachments? Have you set up any rules on your account?

Meanwhile, I suggest that you run the Windows app troubleshooter from this
link. The
Windows apptroubleshooter can help scan Windows Store app issue and fix it right away.

You can also reset the Mail app. To do this, refer to the steps below:

• Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & feature.
  
• Click the Mail app from the list and then choose Advanced options.
  
• Click Reset.

• When you say 'Windows mail' are you referring to Windows live mail or Mail app?
• Are you able to get other attachments Word or Excel?

If you are using Mail app follow the steps below.

Run the app troubleshooter and check if it helps to resolve the issue

Also install any pending updates on the pc to check if that helps. Updates are additions to software that can help prevent or fix problems, improve how your computer works, or enhance your computing experience.
