    Just bought a Windows 10 laptop; want to use it in rural area without internet connections.


    Just bought a Windows 10 laptop, to use in my car in rural areas to take notes. But how can I do this without first connecting to the internet? I don't need internet services; just want to run my WordPerfect word processor.

    6110N GPS in Rural Areas???

    I have tried to the 6110N with the preloaded Australian maps and have found that in non-metropolitan areas, it only shows the main roads. How do I access small streets in these rural areas?

    Lack of Lumia with Telstra blue tick - connection in rural areas

    Hi,

    I live in a rural area in Australia but according to Telstra, none of the Lumia phones are suitable for me.

    I would love to swap my Lumia 800 for a 930 but need to make sure I will get mobile service where I live and work.

    Has anyone used this phone or a lumia 1520 in rural area or does anyone know any specs about the antenna on these two devices, compared to Samsung s5 which has got blue tick approval.

    To assist you better, please provide few details.

    1) How exactly you are trying to connect your system to internet?

    2) What is the make and model of your computer?

    I suggest you to try running network troubleshooter and check if it helps.

    Follow the below steps:


    • Type Troubleshooting in the Search area on the taskbar and select
      Troubleshooting.

    • Select Networks and internet.

    • Select Internet Connection.

    • Follow the on screen instruction.
