Windows 10: Just came by to ask a question about how to use (LaCie) external storage

I know a decent amount about computer, a while ago I bought a 500 GB SSD for me 330s Ideapad. I used most of it. Someone gifted me another, and now I'm trying to set it up and its not working. You see, its using a Genie/Wizard setup thing and I forgot how to set it up. I've tried everything, using the setup from the previous 500 GB (didnt work and just said that the 500 GB was registered), trying to download another one, which doesnt seem to exist, etc. Anyone got any experience with this and remember?

External drive in now incompatible with Windows 10 UPgrade

Please answer these questions to assist you better.

Is LaCie external drive detected in Device Manager?

I suggest you to update LaCie external drive drivers in Device manager and check. If issue persists install driver in Compatible mode.

Compatibility mode

Follow the steps below on how to install driver in compatibility mode:

1. Download the driver from the manufacturer’s website and save it on your local disk.

2. Right click on the setup file of the driver and select “Properties”.

3. Select “Compatibility” Tab.

4. Place a check mark next to “Run this program in Compatibility mode” and select operating system from the drop down list.

5. Let the driver install and then check the functionality.
