First time in the Community. Low computer skills I'm afraid. Just had my rather old laptop factory reset. Windows 10 on an HP. Now told Windows media player doesn't support DVD player on machine. Something to do with Codecs, whatever they are! It was working perfectly well before reset. Anyone advise/help? Thanks Ivor D

Hi I have just reset my daughters laptop to factory settings and updated it to windows 8.1 on the hard drive I have a windows folder and an old windows folder can I get rid of the old windows folder and how would I get rid of it, as I am not used to win 8.

Faulty Windows Media Player

Windows Mesdis Player developed a fault (Played jerky an missed bits) so I down loaded Media Player 10.

It's no better. Any suggestions (I run Windows 98)
