• Are you logged in with a local account or Microsoft account?
• Have you tried typing the password with On-Screen keyboard?

I would suggest you to try the following steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: On-Screen Keyboard

You may use the accessibility options to pop open a on-screen keyboard and type the password from there to make sure you are typing the correct password.

If the issue persists,

Step 2:

If you see your email address listed there, it must be a Microsoft account. You will be able to reset the password and log in if your PC is connected to internet.

After installing the latest Windows 10 update, unable to access keyboard and log-in to the desktop as keyboard not working to enter the password

I understand the inconvenience you are facing with accessing the keyboard after installing the latest update, we will help you with this issue.

Do let us know the following to assist you better with this issue:

• Which was the latest update installed on your device?
• Have you tried using On-screen keyboard and check if you are able to log-in to the computer?
• What is the make and model of your device?

As a work around to log-in to the computer, I suggest you to use On-screen keyboard to enter the password.

From the lock screen, click on Ease of access
icon in the right bottom corner, click on On-Screen keyboard to enter the password.

If you are using external keyboard, try to connect the keyboard to different ports and check if it helps.

I would like to inform that, Microsoft has also released a troubleshooter that allows you to hide updates and thus prevent Windows from reinstalling them until a revised version becomes available.

Download the troubleshooter wushowhide.diagcab from Microsoft; it’s a standalone application, no installation required.
