Windows 10: Just installed new feature update, got stuck in airplane mode, now laptop NOT WORKING AT...

Hi there, really in desperate need of some help. I made the mistake of allowing the installation of the latest updates, which in my case was the newest feature update. It was working fine afterwards for a short while then all of a sudden, like literally as I'm in the middle of writing something, the thing goes into airplane mode and I lose connection to everything I'm doing.


I cannot get it out of airplane mode and I have tried everything. Restarted, did nothing. Took the battery out, tried a system restore but the restore point I had created was wiped out so that was not an option, tried a reset keeping my files, tried a reset deleting my files, have at this point even tried a clean install off my USB. NOTHING is working. During the clean install attempt I kept getting messages that windows couldn't be installed on any of the partitions. I was able to do all this via safe mode with networking start up, and when I was doing that I scanned for viruses too - nothing.


NOW I can't even get that far. I can't get to my main screen. When I try to start my laptop it automatically wants to start up in some diagnosis mode, then tells me it can't be repaired and routes me to another back screen, and from there I can't exit to windows 10 either.


Did this feature update seriously just crash my laptop?? I'm sort of freaking out here. Any help, I would be forever indebted. I was able to get to the BIOS login screen and run diagnostics and that is showing everything is fine. Passed all tests. I just can't get anywhere.

Airplane mode stuck

So after my computer updated it is stuck in airplane mode I have tried all the suggestions to fix it and it is still stuck. I have tried the function key I have tried recovering my computer which it will not let me do. I have tried starting in safe mode
and disabling it. I have tried updating my drivers. I have tried searching for raDioenable in registry edit to no avail. I have a Toshiba laptop can anyone help me get access to the Internet and turn off airplane mode?

Thanks for responding, however, Method 1 does not work. The airplane mode switch remains "on". To my knowledge I have not loaded any VPN software and when the VPM "allow" setting are turned off, no change in the airplane mode takes place. When rebooted
the VPN switches reset to "allow". I have tried other solutions from submitters to address this problem, but again no joy. I noticed the problem with airplane mode first when I changed the settings on the PC to allow printer and file sharing, and my laptop
quickly found the printers through wifi to the router that is hard wired to the PC but when a test print command was sent the printer did not print and the command would not cancel in "see whats printing" on both the PC and the laptop. Rebooting cleared the
PC, but the laptop will not cancel the print test page. Investigation of the printing issue revealed the stuck airplane mode on the PC. However a 2nd test page printed with no problem and the que cleared. I do not know if the airplane mode was stuck on before
I connected to the PC with the laptop as I had no reason to check it before. Since the stuck on airplane mode is an issue that many comments have been made in this forum from people saying no joy on their attempts to correct the issue, is Microsoft working
on a solution and do you have any alternatives? My PC was not upgraded from windows 7 but is a new installation of windows 10. Any help would be appreciated. I don't want to have to do a reinstall since the problem will just show up again without some kind
of Microsoft patch to correct the problem. Any suggestions?
