    Just replaced my HP Envy convertible laptop with a newer model. What to do with the older one?


    It's been a while (20+years) since I've had two fully functional computers and I was thinking I should probably "clean" the older one. It does take a while to startup as its loading stuff and whatnot. It's got a SSD and touchscreen.

    Before I use Settings to re-install Windows (and wipe everything else on the drive), is there anything else I should do? I've already moved data and programs and settings, so that's good to go.

    Pen for HP ENVY x360 m6 Convertible laptop

    I have HP ENVY x360 m6 Convertible laptop, which I purchased last year. Can anyone recommend a pen that works with this model?

    Older HP PC has V.1909...newer HP Laptop has v.1809...

    As the Question Title notes, I am confused why an older HP Desktop PC 500-089 has the latest version of Windows 10, V. 1909, Build 18363.628 which was updated yesterday, while a newer model of an HP Envy Notebook laptop has an earlier version. Oddly enough the laptop was updated to V.1809 Build 17763.1012 from Build 17763.973 last weekend. Is there a logical explanation for this? Why wouldn't the newer computer also have the latest up-to-date version?
    Oh, both are running 64 bit, Windows 10 Home.

    Also, each time over the past few months, I've checked Windows Update on the laptop I am alerted I have a version of Windows "that's nearing the end of service." This is not encouraging news. Hope someone can explain my...and others...dilemma!

    the newer macbook pros I would recommend but my 2008 model is ok but there has always been a problem with it.

    if you looking for battery life then they're usually the way to go honestly either that or the hp envy, so my 2 suggestions macbook pro or hp envy
