  1. Just restored my backed up files, now unable to open most programs

So I wiped my computer and reinstalled Windows 10 last night, and I just finished restoring my files from my Western Digital Passport Ultra. I tried earlier, and it wouldn't let me restore them to their original location, so I restarted my PC and I was able to do that this time. Now, when I click on my documents or pictures folders in the Start Menu, I get an error message that says: C:\Users\kwohl\OneDrive\Pictures is not accessible. Access is denied.

Please help me. Please. My PC has been nothing but a headache since I wiped my HD. Thanks.

    :)

    Free hard drive backup/restore program?

I am looking for a free (freeware) program that will back up and restore a hard drive. I'm looking to clone a few external hard drives. If the program will backup the used space instead of the whole drive this will be awesome! Thanks for any suggestions.

  3. Restore the default option of "File is open in another program" message

    Hi Mohammad,

We appreciate the details you shared. About your query in restoring the default option "File is open in another program" message, this is most likely to happen due to a certain setting previously disabled on your Folder View options. To rectify your issue,
    follow these steps:

    • Using Windows Search, type File Explorer Options.
    • Select File Explorer Options.
    • Under the View tab, click Restore Defaults.
    • Click Apply.
    • Hit OK.

This will allow you to revert to the settings previously applied to your files and folders. Afterwards, restart your device and check if you will see this message prompt when opening files in another program.

Let us know if further assistance is needed.

    Free hard drive backup/restore program?

Obviously you're looking for something besides your Xp Pro utility that does this?
