Windows 10: just updated my computer and my taskbar is unusable

i run windows 10 and my computer updated today and now i cannot use the taskbarthe things i cannot do are - use the start menu, using the windows icon key does not bring the menu up nor does clicking on it-sound icon will not open when i plug headphones into my computer-notifications won't open when clicked on -cannot open settings whatsoever or uninstall apps -cannot open or use search box at all it isn't responsive at alli have been searching online for hours but have not found a single solution matching these issues. this cumulative update is the worst

Taskbar Issue with Multiple Monitors

• What is the make and model of your PC?

I suggest you to follow the steps provided below and check if it helps.

• Right click on the Taskbar and select Properties.
• Check if the option for Lock the Taskbar and Auto-hide the taskbar
  are ticked.
• If they are ticked then uncheck the option for Auto-hide the taskbar.

Also, suggest you to update the Display driver by following the steps below:

• Press Windows key + X, select Device Manager.
• Expand Display Adapters.
• Right click on the driver and select Update Driver Software.
• Follow the on-screen prompts to update.

Taskbar locks up when I switch on the computer and the computer lags Windows 10.

I suggest you to check the taskbar auto-hide settings is set correctly or not as below.

• Right click on the ‘Taskbar’ and click on ‘Properties’.
• Under ‘Taskbar’ tab. Check the option ‘Auto-hide the taskbar’.
• Then click on ‘Apply’ and ‘Ok’.

If still the issue persists then, I suggest you to follow the below methods and check if it helps.

Method 1: I suggest you to run the System Maintenance troubleshooter as below.

• Type troubleshooting in the search bar.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• Select View all on the top left corner.
• Click on System Maintenance.
• Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.

System Icons on taskbar

Are you referring to the clock system icon on the taskbar?

If so, I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below:

• 
  Click on the search bar on the taskbar.
  
• 
  Type system icons.
  
• 
  Under Turn System Icons ON or OFF, turn On the Clock and check with the issue.
