Windows 10: Just upgraded to 2004. Now at sign-in, the blurred window takes 45-60 seconds to pop up the...

I just upgraded to 2004 from 1909 a few days ago. Since then, when I wake my computer up the screen, the blurred window now sits for 45-60 seconds --I have literally timed it multiple times -- before the sign-in window pops up. It used to be near instantaneous with 1909.


What is going on? I have made no changes in my system between a few days ago when I was running 1909 where the login process was normal and now with the delayed loginEXCEPT for upgrading to 2004.

How to disable Sign-in screen acrylic (blur) background on Windows 10 May 2019 Update | Windows Central
- that's what you're referring to, I believe- the background to the login screen, rather than the lock screen- but should not affect the ability to log on.

That said, if tahalodhi16 is having trouble logging on, but not otherwise, it's worth trying what you suggest.
The article I've quoted also gives the registry details, so that could be done in Safe Mode if it's easy to access that in this situation.

Clarification is needed else we are simply guessing.

 

Pop up on screen every 45 seconds unable to identify

Every approx. 45 seconds a pop up screen appears but does not stay long enough to identify. How do I stop or remove this.

 

Laptop mic takes 45 seconds to activate

Ran sfc /scannow and no error found. I rechecked after the scan and Windows 10 is still taking over 45 seconds to recognize the laptop microphone. Any other suggestions?
