Windows 10: Just wanted to report and issue.

With the latest windows 11 insider preview build 25905. It seems to be taking a long time to just do the base install then restart. I also, think it might of crashed my hdd last week when trying to install it, it ran after restarting and took all night about 12 hours and on my computer it did not finish the update. I had to get a new hd to get my computer back working again. Anybody else having similar problems with this update?

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

• Is this your first time to encounter this issue? If so, did you make any changes to your account or to your computer prior to this?
• Which email address did you use when you've set up the Family Safety?

To make sure, I suggest that your follow these steps and see if it helps:

• Go to account.microsoft.com/family
  and sign in with your Microsoft account.
• Find your child's name and select Activity.
• If Activity reporting is turned Off, use the switch to turn it
  On.

Note: If you don't want to get weekly activity reports in your email, but still want to see your child's online activity, switch Email me weekly reports from On to Off.

If that setting is already enabled, then I suggest as the next troubleshooting step might be Mozilla Safe Mode (not to be confused with Windows Safe Mode)):
