  1. K63 BT keyboard fails to reconnect

Hi there, I have purchased the corsair K63 wireless keyboard, which worked excellent for 3 weeks, now when I connect via bluetooth, after the keyboard sleeps or is shut down the reconnection fails 90% and when it does connect media keys on the top edge do not work The only solution I have found is to reset the keyboard by holding the escape key while powering, and then remove the device from my laptop and pair it again to the laptop. All thoughts appreciated. Windows 10 home 20H2, MSI GF65 laptop I7-9750H RTX2060. Dongle works flawlessly, but not what I want K63 BT keyboard fails to reconnect :) Ken

Reconnect to an already paired BT device (e.g. headphones)

I have a Windows 10 laptop with Bluetooth and I have Sony BT headphones already paired to that laptop. I use the headphones with different BT source devices. They remember the last device they were connected to. Switching them to another BT source requires active action from the user. In case of Windows 10, I have to open Action Pane, click on the Connect shortcut (which opens a Connect pane), find my headphones in the list and ask Windows to connect to them.

Now, my question is: it there any way to do the same thing without having to go through Action pane? I.e. is there any way to open the Connect pane directly (a keyboard shortcut preferably)? Or maybe there's an old-style (Windows 7-style) window that would allow me to reconnect to a paired device?

  4. K63 BT keyboard fails to reconnect

Windows Phone 10 on Lumia 640 and Universal Mobile Keyboard

    Well, well, well!

I think I might have got the thing to stay connected! Hooray!

This seemed to work for me:

    • Remove the keyboard pairing in BT settings, i.e. delete it
    • Restart phone
    • Switch in BT in Settings (this made phone discoverable)
    • Made UB keyboard discoverable
    • Paired when prompted and voila it connected and stayed connected!
To be able to reconnect, I noticed what worked this time was not to switch off the keyboard with the switch, but to just close to lid of the keyboard to shut it down. It doesn't matter if you switch off the BT on the phone as well, but it MUST be switched
on before you go to reconnect the keyboard by opening the lid to switch this on.

I found if you switch off BT on the phone with the keyboard connected, then the 2 devices don't reconnect again without deleting the device, re-pairing and connecting again (as in steps 1 - 5 above)

I'm pleased that I've got this working as it now completes my out of office IT working set-up, as well as saving the keyboard from being a very expensive paperweight!
