  1. KB3093266 killed Windows update service

So yesterday I installed KB3093266, the update went threw and update fine as far as i knew.

After the reboot config system was up. I didnt start to get suspicious till I noticed I never got AC notification about the install, So I reboot notification went threw.

I went into WU went to advance options and notice the whole panel froze and event viewer listed this error

Code: The program SystemSettings.exe version 10.0.10240.16384 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Security and Maintenance control panel. Process ID: f1c Start Time: 01d0fd579fb00fb0 Termination Time: 4294967295 Application Path: C:\Windows\ImmersiveControlPanel\SystemSettings.exe Report Id: eeef05ad-694a-11e5-9cb2-001fbc08ee1b Faulting package full name: windows.immersivecontrolpanel_6.2.0.0_neutral_neutral_cw5n1h2txyewy Faulting package-relative application ID: microsoft.windows.immersivecontrolpanel I then noticed Windows update service was throwing this error and for what ever reason was set to manual.. I put it back to automatic since[/quote] Code: The Windows Update service terminated with the following error: The system cannot find the file specified.[/quote]
The service would also no longer start throwing this error
Code: Windows could not start the windows update service on local computer Error 0x80070002: the system can not find file specified.[/quote] I have since uninstalled the KB3093266 in hopes of it fixing this issue and it didnt so i also did

    dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
    dism /online /cleanup-image /StartComponentCleanup
sfc /scannow (done this twice now)

    no error where found

    ran this
    http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9830262

still nothing. ATM Windows update service refuse to start I cant install stand alone updates either cause windows update service refuse to start.

Windows update throws out this error when I check for updates
    0x80080005

Check you system clock. If it's wrong, updates won't work.

  5. my system clock is correct, so is bios time,

System information>software environment>windows error reporting show 5 hour head of what clock shows and what event viewer event times show.

Not why that would stop the Windows update service from starting though
