Actually it has.. been doing a nice job for some time. *Wink

 

I have three different Win 10 10586-318 machines and I'm not getting this update on any of them.

 

An OP in US got the update.
New build 10586.338 sighted for Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile

Yes i have been reading that, it's the way it works from the MS server not everyone gets it at the same time and i had noticed in past it seemed like the east gets it first sometimes. If not today i am sure by tomorrow you will.

 

That alone ?Good for you then !! I rather use third party protection.

Sorry guys I am an idiot. Before the 1511 update I was on the insider fast ring. After that build I decided to quit being an insider and left the program. About January this year I joined once again but only to receive insider preview builds. I had never received any updates through this and had completely forgotten I was on it but just checked and I am.

So a big red face for me and my apologies to you guys for the misinformation.

As an aside it seems to be running fine, no problems so far.

 

All set now..

 

It's only for users running Release Preview insider, I had this update this morning. Regular users will likely get a new update next week on Patch Tuesday

Patch Tuesday is the 2nd Tuesday of the Month which is June 14, but it doesn't mean that MS will wait until then. The Insider Release Preview is the last step before the public release. Also the 1st Tuesday is now for MS Office product updates. (Office security updates are the 2nd Tuesday) Updates are not written in stone and MS won't wait if they think the updates need to be released before these Tuesday dates. Also the updates usually come out at 10AM PDT (US west coast). MS employee's need their coffee before they turn on the update service.

Well i did say that before second Tuesday of the month and before knowing we were talking about Insider release preview.
