  2. 2017-05 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1703 for x64-based Systems (KB4016871) - Error 0x8007010b

When I ran Windows Update it failed to install this update:

    2017-05 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1703 for x64-based Systems (KB4016871) - Error 0x8007010b

No matter how many times I run the windows update and retry it fails to install.

Ran the windows update troubleshooter that applied a fix and said the issues where resolved but had no effect.

Also downloaded and ran the Windows update standalone update for (KB4016871) from the Windows Update Catalog website but get the message:

    Some updates were not installed

The following updates were not installed:

    Security Update for Windows (KB4016871)

    Microsoft Update Catalog

No matter what the update just refuses to install.

Anyone else having problems with KB4016871 as well?

This KB4016871 already failed to install twice on my laptop. What is happening with Microsoft Updates these days?

Same problem here, my ssd was ...well, ****ed, but I managed to get it working again (lost all my data but at least I still have a working ssd). Had any luck? I'd be glad to help a fellow poor soul.
