Windows 10: KB4023057 has been successfully installed twice

I have a Lenovo PC with Win10 Home edition. OS version is 17134.619.


My USB scanner works abnormal with lines on picture in this PC for about 6 month while it works well with Win7. Today I update Win10, it works. But I find KB4023057 has been installed twice and both are successful.


1. Why can the patch be installed twice?

2. Does the patch fix some USB2.0 transfer issue?

I also have Windows 10 1709 : KB4023057 listed in programs and windows update is also trying to install it and failing at 71%
whatever I do !

So I have it already and it's still trying to install it and failing....

Anyone know a sensible course of action to remedy the situation ?

2018-11 Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64-based Systems (KB4023057) - Error 0x80070643

I HAD the same problem and it failed to install twice as it had already been install in December. I attempted to uninstall the previous successfully installed on from December but it was not listed in Update History. I did a "Check for Updates" and it
identified KB4023057 - together with another one - It downloaded it and installed the new KB4023057 successfully. Therefore just try checking for updates again.

 

Why do I keep getting KB4023057 update?

I ran your suggested link and it does not show KB4023057. May be it has been successfully installed 4 times, and it will only show the failed updates.
