Windows 10: KB4023057 not available for 20H2 and 21H1 via MS Update Catalog

I’ve noticed for patch vendors that this KB is available for 1507 through 1803, but not anything higher via the Microsoft Update Catalog?Why is it available for 1809 and higher through Windows Update but not the Microsoft Update Catalog? I’ve noticed this problem in outside forums, but would like to start this post in MS.

KB4023057 not listed for Windows 1809 (x64) in the Windows Update Catalog

Hi,

Windows Update offers "2020-08 Update for Windows 10 Version 1809 for x64-based systems (KB4023057)".

Normally, all updates are also available in the Windows update catalog. This one, too, for all Windows versions, but for 1809 it's missing:

Microsoft Update Catalog

Why? I've waited a couple of days, but it's still not there.

Windows Update Manager not updating

Available updates:
· 2021-03 Cumulative Update for Win 10 ver. 20H2 (K8500080) Status: Down loading – 0 %
· 2021-01 Update for Windows 10 ver. 20H2 (KB4023057) Statue: Pending install

If you were in this situation, what would you do to get the Update Manager to make these updates?

• There is 43.8 GB available disk space.
• Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool completed successfully
• Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.

What do you think is the cause of the problem?
What steps should be taken to solve the problem?
